Burger vs Cake
Could you make your camera go right through a burger?
Could you make your camera go right through a burger?
Everyone has a cheat meal; whether it’s a chocolatey chocolate cake triple layered with freshly whipped cream OR a burger crammed with yumminess and oozing with saucy goodness.
This is a visual story of a burger vs cake in high octane indecisiveness, gobbled in seconds literally slice by slice, all filmed in camera (with clever post to remove the skewers).
It is a first in the world of tabletop food; and Gus was so delirious with the result he completed the shoot by leaving behind utter carnage.
(And by the way it’s a very very delicious vegan bean burger in the film!)
It was a tough decision to film this feature. It took days and nights to do the math, build food rigs and persuade a food stylist to attempt it. The visual story was to show a burger and a cake being devoured by the camera itself, whilst still showcasing appetite appeal and deliciousness.
